As part of the International Summit of Cities and Regions, foreign partners visited Kyiv region

On April 19, representatives of foreign partners visited Kyiv region. The distinguished guests had the opportunity to communicate with colleagues from the damaged settlements of the region and see the scale of destruction caused since the beginning of the full-scale war of russia against Ukraine.
The visit took place within the framework of the International Summit of Cities and Regions. Among the participants of the event were representatives of the Committee of the Regions of the EU, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, the National Association of Municipalities of Denmark, local governments of Israel, Poland, Germany, Finland, Lithuania, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, the United States of America and other European and world countries.
The delegation was accompanied by the Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Kravchenko and the First Deputy Head of KRMA Dmytro Nazarenko.
Members of delegations visited Bucha, Irpin, Borodyanka, Dmytrivka and Andriivka. They had a chance to see with their own eyes destroyed residential buildings, schools, kindergadens, hospitals and other objects.
Ruslan Kravchenko noted that from the first days of the de-occupation of settlements in Kyiv region, the authorities at all levels have been doing everything to ensure that Ukrainians return to their homes as soon as possible. Thanks to the support of international partners, we managed to implement a number of projects for the reconstruction of Kyiv region.
“But the task we face is not just to rebuild, but to do better than it was. Another important aspect is to push the development of the economy, the flow of investments and provide people with jobs. Therefore, close interaction and cooperation at the level of communities, cities and regions is extremely important,” Ruslan Kravchenko emphasized.
