The presidents of Slovakia and the Czech Republic visited the Kyiv region as part of their official visit to Ukraine

On April 28, President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová and President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel visited the Kyiv region. During the visit to the Metropolitan Region, distinguished guests were accompanied by the Head of the KRMA Ruslan Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the KRMA Dmitrii Nazarenko, Deputy Vitalii Vlasiuk, and heads of local self-government bodies.

In the village of Borodyanka, foreign partners together examined the destruction caused by missile, bomb and airstrikes of enemy troops in February-March 2022.

The president of the Czech Republic visited the site of the mass burial of tortured civilians near the Church of St. Andrew the Apostle in Bucha. Peter Pavel saw with his own eyes the war crimes of the russian invaders committed in the city.

The president of the Slovak Republic visited the shelter “St. Olga” in the village of Blystavytsia, Bucha district. There, Zuzana Čaputová talked to residents of a rehabilitation center for women and mothers affected by domestic violence.

 “I showed the distinguished guests Borodyanka and Bucha, which were most affected by the russian invaders. I thanked our international partners for their comprehensive support for Ukraine from the first days of the full-scale invasion – humanitarian and military assistance, shelter for Ukrainians, etc.,” – Head of KRMA Ruslan Kravchenko wrote on Facebook.

During a short meeting, the Head of the KRMA, together with partners, discussed the issue of rebuilding destroyed facilities in the Kyiv region. Ruslan Kravchenko noted that the Kyiv region counts on international support. The presidents of the Czech Republic and Slovakia assured that they will support Ukraine until victory.
